First established in 1970, COMEL S.p.A. manufactures to order a range of products in lightweight painted sheet metal and stainless steel, as well as raised floor frames, and also manufactures and sells office drawer and furniture units.

COMEL is a leader in the field of sheet metal manufacturing, and is equipped with the latest generation of high-tech plant, including 16 Salvagnini punching and bending centres, 2 laser cutting machines and 2 powder painting systems. COMEL runs two factories, one at Casalserugo, where the company's registered offices are located, and another at Arre, both in the province of Padua. The factories and offices currently cover a total area of 32,000 square metres and employ a workforce of 140 people.

Both factories operate a four-shift day and a six-day working week.

COMEL manufactures for leading names in various areas of industry, and processes around 18,000 tons of sheet metal a year. 80% of production is destined for the domestic market while the remaining 20% goes for export. Thanks to advanced plant and ultra-modern production systems, COMEL can supply complete, top quality products ready for final assembly at the customer's own plant.

An advanced production system enables COMEL to offer its customers a complete, rapid and efficient service, characterised by extremely flexible delivery times and competitive prices. COMEL's warehousing facilities use KANBAN storage principles to manage stock for immediate delivery and to ensure an ultra-rapid response to orders.
